Passport Offices to Operate on Weekends to Facilitate Hajj Pilgrims In 2024 | Comprehensive Guide

Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has announced that the passport delivery counters would remain open on weekends across the country to facilitate Haj pilgrims from March 2 to March 15.

In an announcement released by the Directorate, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the Director General of Immigration and Passports, expressed that the choice was made to ease the journey for Hajj pilgrims.

As per Qazi, individuals planning to undertake the forthcoming Hajj can also avail the services of passport delivery centers during the weekends from March 2 to March 15.

He emphasized that citizens have the option to contact the passport office between 9 am and 1 pm, even on Fridays, to acquire their passports.

As per a spokesperson, the distribution of passports for upcoming Hajj pilgrims has started nationwide, bringing relief and excitement to the thousands of individuals getting ready for their Hajj journey.

The spokesperson mentioned that regional offices are operational on Saturdays, ensuring the seamless processing of applications.

The distribution of passports is specifically aimed at the 28,000 Hajj pilgrims who have chosen the official package for the pilgrimage. They are encouraged to promptly visit the respective office to begin the required procedures.

As per information from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, it is crucial to understand that the process includes biometric verification. Subsequently, must be submitted to the respective banks.

The spokesperson stressed the significance of pilgrims following the specified timelines. Additionally, they mentioned that the final date for submitting to banks is scheduled for February 26.
